  • Description: In rural Greece, two brothers live harmoniously with their wives, keeping busy with their farm work. When one of the brothers goes to town for some business, the brother who stays behind has an affair with his brother’s wife and leaves her pregnant. The two brothers end up fighting, and one of them is killed in the clash, while the other commits suicide because of the great guilt he carries. The pregnant woman, driven out of her village because she is blamed for the tragic events, also takes her own life.
